The Hong Kong Jockey Club Conghua Racecourse (commonly known as "Conghua Hong Kong Jockey Club") is a world-class equine training center established by the Hong Kong Jockey Club in Conghua, Guangzhou. It is not a clubhouse open to the public.
It serves as the rear training base for Sha Tin Racecourse in Hong Kong and is the first and world-class thoroughbred training center in mainland China. Covering approximately 150 hectares (twice the size of Sha Tin Racecourse), it can accommodate over 660 active racehorses. It features 4 racetracks (including an 1100-meter mountain turf track), 11 stables, an equine hospital (4928㎡), a dedicated equine swimming pool, hydro-treadmills, and a cold salt spa. The venue includes an indoor equine swimming pool (Equine Swimming Pool), designed entirely differently from conventional swimming pools: a 70-meter straight course + a circular waterway, a depth of 2.6 meters, and a half-water, shallow area design—horses swim with only half their bodies submerged, their heads always above water.
